Senate President Bukola Saraki tasks National Assembly management on ethics

The President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki has charged the management of the National Assembly to discharge their duties with diligence and commitment, so, as to enable the legislature achieve its legislative goals of sustaining democracy.  Saraki, who gave this charge in his speech during the official unveiling and presentation of Code of Ethics in the National Assembly Service, ‎urged them to abide by ethics of the profession as it would ensure improved service delivery.

Represented by Senator‎ Enyinnaya Abaribe from Abia State, the President of the Senate said that the 8th National Assembly places premium on the efficacy of staff productivity. He also charged leadership of the bureaucracy to ensure staff commitment and dedication to the task.

In his opening remarks, Clerk of the National Assembly, ‎Mohammed Sani-Omolori,‎ stressed the need to embrace professionalism.The code of ethics, according to him, is to build a capable, disciplined and motivated workforce that will leverage on well-developed human resources and modern technology to render excellent support and services to the legislature.
